At R.E.A.L, students are engaged in a rich and challenging curriculum. We offer both International and National syllabi ranging from Preschool, Primary to Secondary levels that aim to nurture well-rounded students with outstanding grades, robust extracurricular activities and leadership qualities.
Our extracurricular and character programmes are woven into this rich curriculum, providing an important sense of balance and commitment to both collaborative and individual expression.
R.E.A.L is a place where students have the opportunity to develop their skills and talents as they maximize their potential.
Throughout our 6 international and private schools located at 3 campuses in Malaysia, we provide an environment that honours and promotes students' unique development. Our students grow independently with self-confidence and integrity during their time with us, ready for the challenges of college life and beyond.
We believe the only measure that matters is that of your child's academic and personal growth. Our philosophy is centered on the 'Five Pillars of Life', ensuring each student is successful both intellectually and socially.
Character forms the backbone of a person's worth. It is the very foundation in which future successes are built upon. Our teachers strive to instill desirable character traits within our students every day. Through constant positive reinforcement, our students learn to take responsibility for themselves, their school and the community.
Mastering additional languages apart from our mother tongue represents a huge advantage that distinguishes our students from the crowd. R.E.A.L educates students to develop proficiency in several languages – primarily English, Mandarin and Bahasa Malaysia, preparing them to face any challenge in today’s borderless world.
Communication skills encompass more than just speaking or writing competency. It involves the ability to correspond and converse with others constructively. Our students learn to be effective in expressing their thoughts and responding to ideas through various forms of classroom discourse such as debates and public speaking.
The extent to which students possess good social skills can influence their academic performance, behaviour and relationships. With two school divisions of International and National united within one campus, students are able to strengthen their interpersonal connections by interacting, collaborating and facilitating success in various school activities and events.
This 'MI' theory developed by Dr. Howard Gardner explains the various forms of intelligences inherent in every single individual. By identifying each person’s innate talents, we are able to understand every aspect of a student's unique learning style, interests and opportunities for growth. Hence, our teachers are able to customize and apply the right learning approaches and activities to cater to these different needs.
R.E.A.L Schools was first founded as Sekolah Sang Suria in a small bungalow in Cheras with a humble beginning of just 40 students. The school quickly outgrew its first home and was soon moved to its present 10-acre land within a peaceful environment in Cheras, taking on the name of Sekolah Seri Suria. Today, the school is known as R.E.A.L Schools, Suria Campus, Cheras.
By 1999, R.E.A.L Schools had progressed so much that a second campus – the Cahaya Campus - was opened in Shah Alam, Selangor. Another Cahaya Campus then opened its doors in Johor Bahru in 2008, becoming the third and newest member of the R.E.A.L Schools family. As we approach our third decade in educating students, we welcome you to join our journey and discover what it means to be R.E.A.L.
R.E.AL Schools is built on the passion, energy and drive of its people. Excellent teachers nurture outstanding students. They value the opportunity of schooling and revel in the pursuit of knowledge, skills and personal growth.
